My client manufactures products that are supplied to blue chip clients and they have a long established name for quality and reliability.

My client manufactures products that are supplied to blue chip clients and they have a long established name for quality and reliability.

They have over 200 staff on site and have great R&D facilities at their site. The turnover has recently surpassed £30m and they are committed and focused on increasing this in the next financial year.

Description

The Assistant Accountant will;

  • Assistance with the preparation of Monthly Management Accounts, Group Reporting and Year End Accounting.

  • Accounts Receivable / Credit Control.

  • Fixed Asset reporting.

  • Bank Reconciliations.

  • Variance Analysis.

  • Accruals & Prepayments.

  • Expense Analysis.

Profile

The successful Assistant Accountant will;

  • Be experienced in the preparation and reconciliation of month-end accounts

  • ACCA/CIMA studier

  • Navision experience is an advantage but not necessary

  • Possess excellent communication and relationship building skills.

  • Have sound judgement and the ability to make good decisions.

  • Have strong IT, numerical, problem solving skills and strong Excel skills.

  • Be an organised, fast worker with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Be able to work to strict deadlines and prioritise their workloads.

  • Tenacious, self-starter, committed and hardworking.

  • Be self-motivated with a desire to always achieve high standards.

Job Offer

The Assistant Accountant will receive;

  • Salary range to £32k dependant on experience etc.
  • Study support
  • 23 days pro rata per full calendar month worked rising to 27 after service.
