Finance manager

The role is ultimately responsible for all aspects of Finance relating to the business and has one direct report. This role is the key Finance support for the management team, responsible for all Reporting and Forecasting.

Description

Key roles and responsibilities for this Finance Manager role include:

• Responsible for analysis and review of the monthly management accounts and in consultation with the Finance Director, agree new P&L forecast
  
• Identifying all risks and opportunities within the P&L, as well as being solution orientated in assisting the senior retail team in protecting profit
• Understanding and challenging branch and central cost base, and conducting monthly reviews with the Managing Director and Finance Director
• Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with other parts of the Finance community - including Group Finance, Treasury, Brand Finance teams and the Accounting Centre - all of which are key and are involved with the team on a daily/weekly basis
• Ensure that production of the weekly and monthly reporting packs is timely and accurately completed
• Compilation of the annual brand plan, from which will then follow the bi-annual branch planning process, where robust and realistic sales, payroll and cost plans must be agreed with each of the Intra-Group Brands, Concession Brands and Outfit Retail Team
• Being proactive at seeking out the topical issues and developing the finance support as appropriate
• Lead and manage one Finance Analyst

Profile

• Systems literate - particularly Excel
  
• CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified or finalist
• A motivated self-starter who is able to use their initiative and take ownership of tasks
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships and confidence to influence at all levels, challenging where required
• Demonstrates commercial awareness
• Line management experience
