Financial Accountant

An opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join a premium luxury retail company based in central London.

Description

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for the following:

• Statutory reporting, ensuring timely and accurate completion of the monthly close for the specific business unit.
• Accurate and timely completion of the close schedules for submission to Group. Preparation and posting of all accounting journals (Accruals /Commissions/Prepayments etc).
• Review of results pre-close to ensure that the accounts are accurate.
• Monthly preparation of all balance sheet reconciliations to ensure that all accounts are adequately reconciled and that all aged items are resolved in a timely manner.
• Preparation of bank reconciliations.
• Quarterly completion of parent Group reports.
• Timely completion of actions required by the Internal Audit
• Responsible for accurate and Timely submission of VAT and other regulatory returns.
• Liaising with auditors and tax accountants
• Accounting for Payroll as relevant.

Profile

The successful Financial Accountant will have the following:

• Professional finance qualification - ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
• Exposure to working with IFRS standards
• Experience in the retail industry desirable but not essential
• Self-motivated with strong communication and organisational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail.

Job Offer

Basic salary between £50,000 to £55,000 + benefits and excellent career progression potential.
