I am recruiting for an exciting Financial Accountant position based on the Wirral. The role will be extremely varied and you will get the opportunity to take on the responsibility for the company's financial management, as well as lead on the financial reporting and process improvements.

My client is an innovative and creative market leader in their field. Trading on a global scale, my client is a pioneering manufacturer with very ambitious plans for the future.

My client is looking for a Financial Accountant to add to their finance team to support this growth, and help ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to senior stakeholders.

Description

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Taking ownership of the Financial reporting including month end and year end process.
  • Taking responsibility for financial controls and technical accounting, as well as systems and process streamlining.
  • Guiding and mentoring a small finance team.
  • Leading on the year end audit and internal audits.
  • Ensuring financial compliance across the group, making sure reports and controls are correct & consistent
  • Ensuring balance sheet & VAT reconciliations are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Completing documentation of business processes & policies
  • Communicating and work closely with other group departments, and work to a collaborative and cohesive team.

    Due to the importance of this role, it is important that the successful candidate is;

  • ACA Qualified with 2+ years industry experience
  • Excellent working knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
  • Good team ethic, with excellent communication and organisation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, and drive for analysis and improvement.
  • Team management & mentoring experience
  • Experience within manufacturing the manufacturing sector.
  • Experience working within International Business and Group company structures
  • Advanced Excel skills
