Management Accountant Maternity Cover - NI Top 100 Employer

Reed Finance is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of one of Northern Ireland most successful and organically grown manufacturing companies, assisting with the appointment of a highly-motivated and experienced Management Accountant to cover a period of maternity leave likely to be for 12 months.

Reporting to the Financial Controller within a structured team environment, the Management Accountant is responsible for taking leadership in key areas of financial reporting and systems to deliver business improvements and timely critical information & analysis, assisting with accurate decision making/planning and to also provide a rapid response to trouble shooting when necessary.

The role:

Utilise a clear understanding of the divisional business dynamics, key issues affecting it and the nature of its marketplace to drive business improvement;

Leading meeting with all levels of management to drive change;

Present monthly information to Divisional Management Teams, using systems such as ZAP to generate information;

Responsible for the production and issuing of the sales & gross margin reports for all products, regions etc;

Manging the financial year end process for the division;

Management of the Credit Control process in its entirety;

Preparation & analysis of the monthly finance package alongside the FC;

Reporting on stock valuations across the division and following up on variances;

Balance sheet reconciliations;

Reporting Capital Spend, Stocks & Debtors;

Reporting weekly KIP's;

How to apply:

Candidates must hold a recognised accountancy qualification (or be working toward one with relevant experience) and have a minimum of 3 year's recent and relevant broad based experience within an accounts function. Advanced working knowledge of Windows based software including excel spreadsheets is essential. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX and ZAP BI would be desirable.

A proactive approach to problem solving, the ability to work well within a team and direct others towards the achievement of objectives are also key skills. Experience of working within a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.

Candidates will need to demonstrate strong attention to detail and a proven ability to deliver high quality work within strict time frames and confident written and oral communication skills in this hands on role. You should have a sound financial background with the ability to accurately and incisively interpret financial data, recommend actions for improvement and bring a value-added dimension.
