The Performance Reporting Assistant Manager (AM) is an essential member of Performance Reporting IT&S Team, responsible for the performance management (GFO and GFR), reporting of management information; managing / coordinating / monitoring required control initiatives. This role will be responsible to provide business advisory and insights into business decisions and ensure financial implications are integrated into strategic plans.
The incumbent will be directly responsible for performance reporting of IT&S function and providing operational support on financial related matters, working closely with the business users, budget holders, embedded finance and GBS teams. He or she will be the focal person to coordinate the implementation / monitoring of control requirements in conjunction with Group's minimum control expectations. Incumbent must be performance biased, have sound knowledge in process & controls, sharp analytical skills and the ability to communicate / influence at the right levels effectively.
Key Accountabilities
- Review and control over Balance Sheet Integrity (BSI), overall BSI & escalation process between country finance and GBS are functioning as desired with clear roles and responsibilities
- Coordinate the testing on the effectiveness of Segregation Of Duties mitigation plans
- Assist in resolutions of Due Diligence matters / compilation of quarterly Due Diligence submissions
- Assist in maintenance of the DoA, ensuring the right DoA as per SPU guidelines, with appropriate and consistent supporting notes / delegation approach
- Review on spending to ensure business compliance, liaise with respective line managers on potential violations and provide guidance if need be
Requirements
- A university degree (in either of accounting, commerce, economics, trade etc.) or professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA).
- Fluency in spoken and written English is a key requirement of the role.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant Accounting & Finance experience with minimum of 3 years covering areas of business performance management, financial accounting and reporting, business planning and financial control is required. The post-holder must have a high degree of analytical skills, numerical skills and commercial awareness. Experience in an operations or business role would have an added advantage.
- The post-holder must be confident of interacting at all levels both within and outside the countries. Experience of working in Lubes previously would be advantage.
- The post-holder must be self-confident, pro-active, highly performance driven, able to work with little supervision on long term tasks and highly focused on delivery. Ability to manage conflicting priorities is essential.
