Manager / Senior Manager

A successful firm of chartered accountants based in Bridgwater is searching for a highly experienced Client Manager / Senior Manager to join their team with opportunity to carve an influential role and progress in your career taking both a lead on client relationships, managing a portfolio and service delivery on this side as well as developing and supporting the wider team as a key element of the role.

With main offices in Bridgwater this regional firm of accountants has experienced significant growth, with the firms partners/directors actively planning for the future development and growth of the practice. With a wider support team across an experienced management team, supported by qualified/QBE professionals and trainees across AAT/ACCA/ACA at varying levels of experience, the firm services for very wide ranging clients, from small sole traders, partnerships through to clients into the millions in turnover on larger limited company SMEs and OMBs and the firm also has a decent number of larger clients/ corporate and groups with audit requirements.

Description

Joining as Manager / Senior Manager with flexibility to mould the role around the background and level of the right professional you will manage the delivery of wide ranging services to a varied client portfolio overseeing financial systems and budgets, alongside some involvement with financial audits and provide financial advice, liaising with clients and building excellent relationships as a trusted advisor. You will also advise clients on tax planning and tax issues associated with activities such as business acquisitions and mergers and other tax planning work. You will be hands on maintaining accounting records and preparing accounts and management information for small businesses as well as undertaking an advisory role on projects such as M&A and other work. Alongside this you will be supported by a wider team and play a key role in developing, supporting, mentoring and managing this team, so will bring strong people management skills and also be able to demonstrate a real desire and genuine interest on this side, gaining reward from developing a team of people. As well as looking to develop and grow a motivated, bright team of support professionals around you, you will carve an influential role in this successful, growing firm of independent accountants with a clear route to progress on offer as well for those with ambitions to develop beyond a managerial position in the medium term.

Profile

You will be ACA/ACCA qualified, or equivalent with a career background and strength within accounts/tax/audit etc and all around, general accountancy practice service delivery to wide ranging sole trade, partnership and limited company clients, developed within an accountancy practice firm environment. You will have developed your career to at least experienced Manager / Senior Manager levels and be looking to take your career to the next level, within a firm and role where you can see a genuine clear progression and development path on offer.

Job Offer
