Business Analyst

The Team

Enterprise IT is responsible for enabling delivering World class IT services at velocity, managing the Bank’s IT sourcing and providing consulting services to integrate the IT environment with business objectives. Enterprise IT Infrastructure Services delivers Infrastructure technology to meet these business objectives.

The Role

Here is an opportunity to build on your BA career as the Business Analyst for this inclusive and diverse team. As you would expect your new role coordinates the definition of business requirements and provides specialist support for projects and operations, gathers information, documents and analyses business needs and requirements to identify opportunities for improvement in business operations and processes. You will also enjoy liaising with stakeholders in order to understand the structure, policies, and operations of the organisation, and to recommend solutions that enable the organisation to achieve its goals. The role has a particular focus on IT network topology and how it maps to workflows.

We will be asking you to:

• Analyse and document technology business and functional processes.
• Document requirements for current and future IT environments eg systems, data and processes, using standard business analysis methods and tools
• Provide Continual Service Improvement in system enhancement and development
• Prioritise work and deliverables according to specified timeframes
• Manage Risk as a tangible benefit to operational and business stability
• Complete or oversee project work stream deliverables including quality control/sign off for area of accountability
• Identify and assist in resolving issues and engage with stakeholders on resolution
• Effectively liaise with customers and manage stakeholder expectations
• Develop appropriate concept papers, design specifications and delivery of learnings to end users and support teams
• Collaborate with suppliers and business areas as required
• Work within a team environment and provide assistance in the management and leadership of your team and complete associated tasks

Our team objectives are:

• To provide end-to-end technical Business Analysis; focus on build and retention of expertise in IT infrastructure solutions, business operations, and deployment of Enterprise Services (ES) Services
• Driving traceable business requirements from Propose to Close phases and leveraging CBA’s key initiatives utilising the Groups Delivery Framework.

What will help you succeed?

In order to excel in this varied and rewarding role offering significant career progression opportunities, you will need to demonstrate a successful track record in a similar position within large / complex environment and have the following skills and experience:

Experience/Qualifications:

• IT or business qualification is highly desirable
• Minimum two years’ business analysis or process improvement experience
• Working knowledge of IIBA BABoK- can demonstrate application of BA practices
• Experience working in Infrastructure technology enabled change programs/projects
• ITIL Foundations V3

Experience with Project Methodologies:

• Agile – Basic/ Sound
• Waterfall – Sound

Toolsets:

• Atlassian products (Jira & Confluence)
• Microsoft Office suite
• Will be expected to quickly get up to speed with multiple Bank systems (if not already proficient)
