This is a staff role based in Dubai . The JV Accountant position will report directly to the JV Team Lead, and work as part of a pair (with a JV Senior Accountant) supporting CNS or NNS asset areas. The role is expected to have a large amount of interaction with Business Partners in the Planning Forecasting and Performance area, and will have “hands-on” responsibility for accurately maintaining the Gross Joint Venture accounting records.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Monthly Gross and Partner Reporting, including VoWD preparation and booking of entries in Sun6
- Preparation, review and issue of Joint Venture Billings, Carry and Cash Statements & Cash Calls and post appropriate transactions in Sun6.
- Respond to partner queries and support FinComs / Op Coms as required.
- Planning, co-ordination and close out of partner Joint Venture Audits.
- Support external audits and prepare necessary pre-work, including but not limited to balance sheet reconciliations.
- Completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Creation of AFEs and communication and management of the approvals process.
- Creation of Annual Opex cost codes for Maximo invoice routing.
- Upload of budget (and forecast) values into Sun6.
- Compliance with JV Controls and desk top procedures, including Continuous Improvement Initiatives.
- Understanding of JV performance against agreed KPIs
- Responsible for maintaining the integrity of JV financial data held in the General
Ledger (Sun6 & Maximo)Work closely with colleagues across Finance and Commercial to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Ad hoc reporting and communication as may be required from time to time.

- Significant experience in Sun6, Q&A and Maximo, with strong MS Excel skills
- Good knowledge/ experience of accounting principles, SOAPs, SORPs and accounting under JOA provisions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant experience in a related role within Oil & Gas or Professional Accountancy Qualification preferred.
- Can evidence professional and personal on-going development and/or learning. ·
- Can articulate learning and training experiences.
