The main remit of this exciting Carlisle based Financial Controller role will be to lead a team, and take full ownership of the numbers, and work with senior finance / none finance stakeholders to influence strategy and growth.

Description

The Key responsibilities for this unique Carlisle based Financial Controller role will be are follows:

  • Responsibility for monthly management accounts for two entities with full profit and loss account, balance sheet, cash flow statement, variance analysis and insightful commentary on trends and outcome against budget and prior year, both for the company totals and at individual store, central department and cost line level as necessary.
  • The preparation of monthly Finance Review packs for detailed operational performance reviews with area managers, Head of Retail and the Managing Director
  • Preparation of comprehensive budgets and periodic forecasts and cash flows
  • Taking a commercial look at the numbers, working with senior stakeholders to advise on strategy and how to maxmize returns

Profile

The successful candidate for this newly created and broad Financial Controller role in Carlisle will be a fully qualfied (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) accountant with a business savvy and commercial approach to finance.

If you like working in a fast paced environment, surrounded by similar ambitious and switched on colleagues, this could be a great step.

Ideally you will be from an ACA background - ACCA and CIMAs welcome too. However, you must have a strong eye for detail and a fantastic communication style.

Job Offer

This Carlisle based Financial Controller role can offer a salary ot £50,000 - £55,000.
