About the role
The role of Associate Director Finance will be responsible for driving business performance by providing analysis and insight for one of the Technology performance unit.
Accountabilities
In this challenging and pivotal role, your key responsibilities include:
- Support Finance Partner to drive business performance and delivery of divisional and functional financial analysis and insights.
- Maintain monthly PU reporting regime; provide analysis and commentary on variances. Coordination of reconciliation and review of complex transactions to ensure accurate accounting and timeliness of reporting.
- Delivery of divisional plans/forecasts; advance relationships with PU managers and Accounting Operations to ensure transparency and proactive identification of issues and drive solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement, with a focus on using the capabilities of Technology investments to enhance our data analytics capabilities and provide better insight faster
Skills & experience
You will have demonstrated in-depth experience across financial control, commercial analysis and reporting coupled with an ability to deal with complexity and ambiguity.
You will have proven experience in month end reporting, budgeting and forecasting in a complex business, and be able to digest, understand and interpret financial information, to draw strategic insights. You will be highly analytical, with a strong technical accounting background. Experience in business process optimisation would be highly advantageous.
You will be a talented finance professional with demonstrated capability to think strategically, influence and drive outcomes across multiple stakeholder groups with a proven track record of delivery through relentless execution and collaboration. A relevant tertiary qualification and post qualification (CA or CPA) is required for this position.
