Description

The Financial Accountant responsibilities will be:

• Month end accrual and deferral process schedules.

• Monthly payroll journal, adjustments and payment, liaising where necessary with the third-party payroll provider.

• Monthly depreciation / amortisation schedules.

• Balance sheet reconciliations.

• VAT Returns, EC Sales reporting and Office for National Statistics surveys.

• Bank reconciliations.

• Sales ledger and purchase ledger reconciliations.

• Assisting employees use of systems.

• Assist in annual budget preparation.

• Assist with preparation of statutory accounts and deal with external audit queries

• Ad hoc analysis of departments and projects.

• Final bank authorisation for large payment runs.

• Liaising with departments for project cash flow planning and payment schedules.

• Uploading of monthly credit card statements.

• Support of Accounts payable functions when necessary including:

• Invoice entry

• Expenses processing

• Petty Cash reconciliations

• Holiday cover and general assistance

Profile

The successful Financial Accountant:

- Part-qualified or qualified by experience essential

- Previous experience within media or public relations (preferred)

- 1-2 previous experience within a similar role

- Experience using Sage accounting software

- Intermediate to expert Excel skills

- Numerate with a keen eye for detail

- Resourceful and motivated
