The following duties apply to the Civil Service Management Accountant role:
- You will produce monthly management accounts, this will include reporting and variance analysis.
- You will meet with non finance staff and key stakeholders on a regular basis to discuss information surrounding budgets and forecasts. You will be the main point of contact to provide information to external stakeholders.
- You will produce the year end accounts for audit and assurance purposes. You will ensure that accounts meet International Accounting Standards and Government Compliance.
- You will challenge and scrutinise budgets and forecasts
- You will lead on the annual budget and create spending reviews
Profile
The successful Civil Service Management Accountant should have the following experience:
- Financial Management and budgeting experience
- Civil Service experience
- Experience complying with Government Standards
- Experience complying with UK Accounting Standards
- A good level of excel
- A good attitude to work
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
