Job Title: Costing Accountant / Financial Analyst
Location: Burnley
Salary: Competitive depending on experience
Job type: Full-Time, Permanent
The Company is a leading UK Manufacturer, they are currently recruiting for a commercially minded Cost and Finance Analyst to join their busy team.
Working closely with the Group Financial Director and based at the head office near Burnley, this is a varied role where you will be involved in various projects along with analysing and controlling costs to maximise efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintaining current costing system including implementing improvements to accuracy and efficiency
Producing accurate new product costings by liaising with sales & production departments
Challenging and aligning data & assumptions in the costings
Ensuring accurate and timely information is available to relevant stakeholder
Providing management with key insights by using data analysis
Preparing sales & profitability analysis including improvements to current models
Assisting at Month End with Stock
Maintenance of customer pricing within sage200
Provide Ad-hoc support to Finance, Sales and Production
Improving the current reporting ,thereby adding valueKey Requirements:
Essential:
Highly numerate with relevant A Levels/ Degree or business qualification
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Power pivots
Analytical skills and the ability to interrogate high volumes of complex data
The ability to present information in a clear and concise manner and use this to influence others
Highly organised, focused and able to juggle multiple priorities
Excellent attention to detail
Driven to deliver consistently on time and to a high standard
Strong communication skills - confident and polite
Ability to work both in a team and autonomously using own initiativeDesirable:
Experience of databases
Experience of using Sage200 a bonus but not essential
