About the Business

As a valued member of the Consumer Finance Quality & Controls team you will work closely with the Personal Lending, Credit Cards, Credit Risk and Central Investigation and Remediation Team to effectively manage customer remediations impacting Consumer Finance. You will be accountable for taking a holistic view of Consumer Finance remediations to ensure appropriate prioritisation and delivery of remediations in line with agreed principles and approaches.

Do Work that Matters

The nature of the role involves engaging multiple stakeholder groups and building strong relationships with our business teams, CIRT and our Risk and Compliance colleagues.

More specifically, this role will require you to:

  • Provide operational risk advice to the Consumer Finance business on raising and managing remediations
  • Ensure remediations are identified, documented, managed and executed in line with Group Remediation Policy, Issue Management Standard and relevant Incident Management Standards
  • Oversee remediation management activities and co-ordinate across Consumer Finance and CIRT
  • Influence the prioritisation of remediations within CIRT and the Product teams
  • Maintain oversight of the end to end timelines of incidents with customer remediations across both the Product and CIRT teams.
  • Developing remediation frameworks and principles that facilitate the appropriate balancing of compliance obligations, customer outcomes and business outcomes
  • Develop and maintain Consumer Finance remediation reporting to track current state and progress
  • Identify and resolve issues and risks relating to incidents and remediations
  • Developing the strategy and roadmap for Consumer Finance customer remediations
  • Uplift business risk culture through targeted training and guidance on how to apply risk management principles in day-to-day activities

We’re interested in hearing from people with:

  • Strong knowledge of Operational Risk in a commercial environment.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in customer remediations, Risk Management, Product Management, Operations or similar
  • Understanding of RBS processes and products (or desire to develop)
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for reporting tasks
  • Focused, self-disciplined and outcomes oriented, you achieve goals by working towards them with determination ensuring all team members are working efficiently to delivering quality results
  • You collaborate effectively with stakeholders and enable mutually beneficial outcomes
