An opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to join a US listed services firm based in central London.

My client is a US listed services company based in central London.

Description

Reporting to the CFO, the primary responsibility of the Financial Controller will be managing the group accounting team, including:

  • Accounting & reporting
  • Managing month end close process to tight accounting deadlines
  • Group consolidation and month end reporting to US parent under US GAAP
  • Local management reporting across diverse local business
  • Ensuring compliance with new accounting and reporting standards as necessary
  • Acquisition accounting
  • Budgeting, planning and reporting for Group functions
  • Compliance
  • Ensuring compliance with SOX at all times, ensuring documentation is current
  • Providing day to day interface with external and internal auditors
  • Maintaining internal approval and control matrices
  • Management of Group accounts team
  • Managing team of approximately 8 including several qualified accountants
  • Managing small payroll, AR, AP and tax and treasury functions
  • Detailed oversight of payroll
  • Working closely with divisional controllers to ensure they are supported at all times, as necessary

Profile

The successful Financial Controller will be fully qualified accountant with a strong educational background.

  • Candidates trained from public practice would be advantageous as well as some hands-on reporting experience in industry within a central reporting role.
  • US GAAP knowledge and experience will be desirable aswell as US GAAP revenue recognition.
  • Exposure to the consultancy sector desirable
  • Line management experience would be beneficial, but not essential.

    Competitive basic salary up to £75,000 (dependant on experience) + the following benefits:
