Global FMCG business based near Thame is recruiting a Commercial Analyst to support sales and marketing.
Client Details
My client, based near Thame is a global, leading FMCG business.
Description
Duties in the Commercial Analyst role include:
- Providing analysis and financial recommendations relating to brand, product & customer profitability, pricing, trading terms and new product development;
- Providing support in the modelling and tracking of commercial agreements including the preparation of business plans;
- Monthly review of customer P&Ls with Head of Sales and Business Managers;
- Assisting the sales team with the preparation of customer presentations;
- Driving ongoing improvement of reporting, analysis and processes for improved decision-making;
- Working with the Commercial Finance Manager to deliver accurate and timely monthly management reporting;
- Preparation of pricing, ranging and promotion forms as required;
Profile
- Relevant degree or equivalent Qualification
- Qualified CIMA, ACA or ACCA
- Experience in FMCG environment imperative
- High level of Excel spreadsheet skills required and experience in TM1 or similar
- Experience in liaising with non-finance.
- Experience working with Commercial teams (sales & marketing)
- Strong ability to influence and challenge the commercial team across category, marketing and sales
- Ability to analyse complex data and convert into a simple story
- Ability to build good relationships
- Strong personal leadership to be able to work in a results-driven culture with big focus on execution
- Self-starter and able to effectively engage with commercial teams
- Able to successfully manage to sometimes tight deadlines.
