Michael Page are pleased to be supporting an international charity in Bristol to recruit a Financial Controller into their team.

Description

• Play an active role in leading the long-term strategic direction of the charity
• To take overall responsibility for the services delivered by the finance team, and to ensure appropriate, efficient and effective financial systems and controls are in place
• To manage the annual audit, including liaison with auditors and preparation of accounts
• Proactively review finance processes and controls necessary to ensure compliance with funding and statutory requirements
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Financial reporting to the Board
• To support the senior management team in the analysis of monthly results and KPI's ensuring accurate and timely information is provided
  
• To take a lead role in reviewing and contributing to organisational contracts
• Provide line management to the Finance Team, Office Administrator and HR supervisor
• This role will encompass occasional travel to international locations

Profile

• Fully qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
• Knowledge of legalities in financial management for both charity/company accounts
• At least three years demonstrable experience in a similar role
• Problem solving, analytical and reporting skills
• Proven experience of working within a company/charity with medium to large annual turnover
• Proven ability to work confidently with complex systems
