Supervisor/Manager - C.A Firm - West Lothian - Up to £40k
Your new company
You will be joining a modern and forward thinking CA firm providing a range of accountancy and taxation services. Due to continued growth, the firm are looking to recruit an ambitious qualified accountant, to join their thriving Livingston office. They are based in modern office with on-site parking, 5 minutes from the M8 slip-roads to Edinburgh or Glasgow.
Your new role
You will be joining the small, friendly team, working as a Supervisor/Manager - reviewing the work of junior staff and providing general support and guidance. You will be working with a wide client base made up of mostly of contractors, free-lancers and small-medium enterprises. These clients are based all over the UK so most contact is made via email or telephone. The Accounts Assistants will carry out the accounts preparation, VAT returns and payroll for their separate portfolios and you will be responsible for finalising and reviewing all of their work and dealing with any complications, issues, or pieces of work such as Tax Planning.
What you'll need to succeed
To be a successful applicant for this role, you will be a qualified (ACCA/CA or equivalent) accountant with significant experience working in a Practice firm. You will have prior experience, managing or supervising staff. You will need to have the technical financial reporting and taxation skills to solve any complications and will ideally be familiar with the software FreeAgent, as this is what the firm use. You will also need excellent communication skills and a sound commercial awareness.
