Our clients are a market leader in the media industry with head offices based in Leighton Buzzard. They provide extensive training where necessary and prioritise caring for their employees. They are looking for a hardworking and motivated individual to join their ever-growing team in this new Payroll Supervisor position.

Description

The key roles and responsibilities for this payroll supervisor include:

• Processing the monthly payrolls accurately, meeting all deadlines
• Ensuring that Tax, NI, Pensions and other deductions are made correctly and paid on time to the relevant authorities.
• Collating information relating to the payment of individuals (time sheets etc)
• Maintaining payroll records and ensuring they are all up to date with compliance and company policies.
• Supervision of the Payroll Administrators in the team
• Reporting to the Payroll Manager and providing other Finance Managers with data relating to payroll costs.
• Ensuring all statutory payments are correct and made on time (SSP,SMP, SPP etc)
• Working alongside the Payroll manage and deputise when necessary

Profile

The successful candidate for the Payroll Supervisor will:

• Ideally have previous leadership experience within a Payroll function
• Be familiar working in a busy payroll environment processing high volume payroll
• Have extensive knowledge of current legislation around NI rates, Statutory payments etc
• Have experience of a Computerised Payroll system
• Have strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• Have excellent numerical, written and communication skills
• Have good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Word & Excel
