The Group Capital and Liquidity Reporting Group (within Group Finance in the Chief Financial Officer Division) is responsible for regulatory reporting across capital and liquidity reports covering the three main regulators. This role in the Controls function for this group will focus mainly on the Liquidity area with a special emphasis on compliance with BCBS239 (across the Capital and Liquidity Areas). The Controls function is a very important component of the overall function and is responsible for standard setting, governance and deep dive reviews to help ensure that the reporting functions have a set of high quality controls in place and can demonstrate compliance with eg BCBS239.
Although the role is full time, there is opportunity for flexibility to work from home.
The role will have a team based in other locations (eg Raleigh and Pune).
The role offers the opportunity to have a positive impact on the Regulatory Reporting functions, which is a very important area to the Bank. Key responsibilities include:
- Setting control standards and monitoring the adherence to those standards
- Maintaining governance/governance meetings to review the control environment
- Monitoring of issue escalation processes and understanding common themes for control issues
- Work alongside the Liquidity Reporting area to implement continual improvements to the control environment
- Responsibility for oversight of the BCBS239 compliance across the Liquidity and Capital reporting areas
- Managing relationships with internal/external auditors and other control/oversight groups within the Bank
You Offer
- A qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or equivalent) with relevant industry experience in banking
- Experienced in operational risk/controls function or Internal/External Audit
- Able to work with teams in other locations
- Able to collaborate well with peers while ensuring that improvements are well established
- Experience in regulatory reporting areas and/or BCBS239 would be desirable
