About the role
Commercial Accountant position for our global Enzymes business, working as part of our Applied Health & Nutrition business, based our of our Innovation Centre in Naas.
Key responsibilities
- Perform a business partner linkage role with the sales teams address performance results, determine outlook and proposal of actions required to drive improved performance.
- Perform a business Partner Role with RD&A Directors to review KPI’s and P&L costs to determine meaning behind the metrics.
- Determine and develop pricing strategies in conjunction with the business president and Commercial controller. Communicate target pricing for customer quotations using the standard processes, and ways of working.
- Evaluate and communicate impact of customer pricing plans to Management in advance of implementation of price changes to customers.
- Take part of top down analysis of full year projections which are presented at quarterly executive meetings by the Business Presidents.
- Ongoing margin analysis, root cause categorization of variances, identification and implementation of corrective actions to prevent repeat incidences.
- Support Business Development support with Pipeline Reports for key stakeholders in the business reviewing in conjunction with finance leads.
- Ensure that all relevant risk components are assessed and mitigated via hedging. Including multiple risk items FX and commodity tracking.
- Partnering with RD&A, procurement & operations finance to meet the customer needs and business targets.
- Support with the implementation of annual price review process.
- Review of monthly P&L with key variances explained and analysed.
- Travel required for this role.
Qualifications and skills
Technical:
- Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA) with an appropriate third level qualification
- Approx. 3 years post qualified experience ideally in a commercial or operational role
- Knowledge of SAP (SRM and ECC) an advantage
- Advanced Excel skills are essential

- Ability to effectively communicate up, across and down the organisation across multiple disciplines including RD&A, Sales, Marketing and Commercial
- Analytical and numerate with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
