A global business based in Luton that is looking to bring on board a Fixed Asset Assistant for one of their divisions. Looking for an immediate starter, there is good room for progression within the role with a name brand client.

A global business that is a leading brand within the Leisure and Sport, is looking to bring on board a Fixed Asset Assistant for one of their divisions. The group is fast paced, and is looking to bring on board a similarly dynamic individual to assist on current projects. Located in Luton, they are as easy commute for anyone located locally or living in Milton Keynes, Bedford or the surrounding areas.
Description
The Key Responsibilities for the Fixed Asset Assistant role are:
- Accurately maintain and administer the WBS project management system.
- Issue and maintain WBS project codes for all capital expenditure
- Monitor FA generic email address
- Accurately record capital expenditure on fixed asset ledger system ensuring appropriate granularity
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliation
- Monthly capital reporting including WBS project tracking
- Work with business units to ensure correct coding of expenditure particularly retail property expenditure
- Ensure sufficient supporting information is provided for capitalisation
- Ensure fa balances are accurately posted into GL
- Run relevant reports and distribute
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and year end data for both management and statutory reporting
- Comply with internal control environment (COSO)
- Continuous improvement
- Collaborate with CE colleagues on process alignment and best practice
- Monthly check list & control file
- Support the intercompany reconciliation process during period end
- Provide ad-hoc support to cover team activities when required to enable the achievement of overall team objectives.
Profile
The ideal candidate for the Fixed Asset Assistant role will be:
- Be Immediately available
- Be Part Qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or AAT Qualified
- Strong academics to 'A' level standard
- Self-starter, able to work using their own initiative
- Strong systems & process skills
- Well developed problem solving skills
- Personable, with strong communication skills both written and oral
- Curiosity and resilience - able to work in an ever-changing, fast-paced and international environment
