Sewell Wallis have a brand new Financial Accountant opportunity with a prestigious and reputable business in Sheffield, working in a stable and successful team with excellent benefits including central parking and generous holiday package.
The Role
Working as Financial Accountant, you'll be responsible for the preparation of the end of year accounts and assistance with the end of year audit. You'll ensure that all areas of the balance sheet are reconciled on a monthly basis, and all accounts and cost centres are consistent across the Group.
You'll need to assist the Head of Financial Control with managing and maintaining the group accounting policies, and ensuring that appropriate controls are in place and adhered to; therefore it's essential that you're a qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA), and have experience working in a large accountancy practice. You'll use your excellent UK GAAP and IFRS knowledge regularly.
Working in a fast-paced department, it's essential that you'll be able to work towards tight deadlines and ensure a continuous delivery of high-results, which may involve working outside normal hours when required. You'll thrive from working under minimal supervision, but will also be a team player and active problem solver. Although the position is based in Sheffield, we are able to accommodate some flexibility.
