Finance Manager - Central Surrey

Robert Half are delighted to be managing an exclusive search to secure a new Finance Manager for an exciting and rapidly growing Property organization based in central Surrey.

This is a highly commercially role for an experienced qualified accountant with a broad experience base to work with the Senior Management Team.

We are looking for a strong technical accountant who is also commercially minded, the individual must have the personality to build relationships with a wide array of people.

In this role you will be reporting to the Finance Director, whilst working with development teams and other key staff, in this role you will be responsible to drive all financial aspects of the planning and delivery of multiple sites across the South East that will be delivered over the coming years.

Role

• Providing thorough financial appraisals to promote and support the business plan of the development in the context of the wider plan for the site and the broader aims of the business.
• Responsibility for all financial aspects of the development, including financial control, profit and cash flow forecasting, real time appraisals, VAT and other taxes, financial due diligence.
• Set up of reporting functions and processes, in liaison within the wider finance team, to enable accurate live project reporting.
• Driving quality reporting and presentation, both within and outside of the pure financial reporting and into wider project reporting, including presentation to senior management team.
• Developing an exceptional, detailed commercial and legal understanding of all aspects of the developments, how matters will be progressed and identifying and enabling management of all risks, with ongoing involvement in the associated commercial and legal processes.
• Other project work (in particular in the early days of the project) to support the finance director to contribute effectively to the wider business.
• Profit Margin Review - ensuring system correctly records all plot dates, margins, revenues etc.
• Sales and Build projection analysis - sales rates vs build rates
• Monthly Cashflow analysis
• Oversee build release packs in conjunction with commercial team
• Monitor and challenge project cost reporting, including land, development, construction and sales and marketing costs.
• Lead Project Review meetings from a finance perspective

Profile

• ACA Qualified (at least 3 years PQE)
• Motivated with a positive 'can do' attitude
• Good organisational skills, ability to work on multiple tasks across a portfolio
• Passion for excellence and a resilience to push for the very best outcome.
• Professional approach and high level of discretion.
• Team player, willing to learn and get involved with a wide range of tasks
• Ability to work on own initiative and generate solutions.

Salary & Benefits

£55,000 - £60,000

The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training.
