As the Finance Business Partner, you will provide financial support and guidance to managers throughout the organisation whilst continuing to promote Finance as a 'business partner'.

Description

As the Birmingham Finance Business Partner you will be responsible for:

  • Accurate and timely production of the monthly management accounts and quarterly forecasts, ensuring explanations are provided for variances against budget.

  • Provide guidance to budget holders in the monthly monitoring of income and costs against budget and forecasts. In doing so highlight areas of concern / oppurtunity and follow up accordingly.

  • Work in collaboration with budget holders throughout the business in the preparation of Budget and forecast submissions, providing analytical review and support.

  • Ensure clear communication with line manager and finance team management on oppurtunities and risks identified.

  • Focus on increasing profitability by analysing and challenging current practices and processes

  • To support Managers through the provision of financial input to strategic planning, assessing capital investment projects and help evaluate new contracts as and when required.

Profile

The successful Finance Business Partner will be:

  • Able to work effectively under pressure and to conflicting tight deadlines
  • Able to effectively communicate financial information at all levels in a professional manner both verbally and written
    • Capable of challenging and developing existing approaches and strive for continuous improvement
    • Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)

    • Enthusiastic and self-motivated

    • Conscientious and hardworking

Job Offer
