The Assistant Accountant will work closely with the Management Accounts team to drive business forward from a commercial standpoint. Assisting with all month end duties, daily reconciliations and ad hoc variance analysis. Fantastic next step for someone who's recently qualified in AAT or early stages of their ACCA/CIMA. - £25,000 - £30,000

Description

Key responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant:

  • Assist Management Accountants to produce the monthly management accounts within the agreed timescales
  • Maintain all fixed asset registers, including asset finance schedules
  • Reconcile all stock control accounts, including stocktakes as required
  • Prepare daily and monthly cashflows
  • Process any extra transactions on an ad hoc basis
  • Support the Purchase Ledger team including processing supplier invoices, reconciling supplier statements and processing payment runs
  • Provide support to the Sales Ledger function including producing invoices/credit notes
  • Provide support to the Credit Control function as required
  • Work across nominal ledgers
  • Any ad-hoc work as required in the Finance department

    The successful Assistant Accountant:

    • ACCA / CIMA studier and AAT Qualified
    • Strong Excel skills
    • Used to working in a busy environment
    • Strong team player
    • Articulate and confident character
    • Ability to work to tight deadlines
