About the Role:
The CFS Financial Statement Reporting and CFS Regulatory Reporting operational teams reside in the Citco Fund Services (Malvern), Inc. ("CFS Malvern") location and the CFS Malvern is the only member of its US consolidated group that provides these financial statement reporting and regulatory reporting services.
The financial and regulatory reporting services are available to clients of Citco Fund Services Companies worldwide. Our specialized financial statement and regulatory reporting teams are primarily based in our Malvern location with additional team members are based in our, Cork, Toronto and Manila locations.
CFS Financial Statement Reporting assists investment advisors and managers in preparing annual, quarterly, and/or monthly-unaudited financial statements for their funds in conformity with the accounting standards adopted by the fund (U.S. GAAP / IFRS).
CFS Regulatory Reporting assists investment advisors in preparing accurate, reliable and timely filings to meet certain regulatory reporting obligations. CFS currently offers services to clients around Form PF, Form CPO-PQR, Form SLT, Annex IV and MMIF. The services are performed by licensed and certified accountants with significant public accounting experience in the asset management industry and financial and regulatory reporting specialists with pertinent industry experience.
Real Estate Financial & Regulatory Reporting Manager is responsible for managing the coordination and completion of financial and regulatory reporting services provided to CFS Real Estate clients.
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage the financial statements and regulatory filings for allocated Real Estate clients
- Providing training and guidance on accounting standards and regulations relevant to Real Estate financial statements under US GAAP and IFRS
- Contribute to identifying, researching, and communicating recent authoritative pronouncements for Real Estate funds, to the Financial and Regulatory Reporting group and clients
- Manage a team of Financial and Regulatory Reporting staff, ensuring their work is produced accurately and to high standards
- Ensure that the work is allocated appropriately and reviewed thoroughly
- Establish staff goals, prepare performance evaluations, direct individual and group staff meetings
- Manage the career development for all allocated staff by group and individual training
- Develop strong relationships with internal parties, clients and audit firm personnel
- Understand engagement economics as it relates to managing budget for individual engagements and projects
- Recognize and communicate potential opportunities for new clients as well as value added service enhancements for existing clients
- Writing and/or reviewing various reports related to engagements.
- Prepare ad hoc reports for the client upon request
- Attend meetings and training to enhance knowledge to be passed down to the team
About You:
- 4-6 years of experience in an Accounting Firm, Hedge Fund, Private Equity Administrator, Audit or other financial institution where the accountant has gained financial products knowledge
- Min Three years' experience in A supervisory function of a team of investment funds accountants and/or auditors
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS is required
- Advanced knowledge in complex derivatives
- Previous Financial Statement Preparation experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics with a minimum of 9 accounting credits desirable
- Excellent communication skills
