Assistant Accountant

Robert Half are currently working with a well respected organisation based in Swindon who are looking or an Assistant Accountant to join their team on a permanent full-time basis.

Role

This is a varied and fast paced role working in a busy finance team.

Main responsibilities include:

• Producing monthly management accounts

• Producing monthly information regarding transactions, so that they can easily track what has been spent

• Providing regular breakdowns of how each office is performing, including information such as the value of fees, net profit, costs, new clients, debtors, work in progress etc

• Continually review the types of management information which can be provided, seeking to improve and develop the format and content to meet ongoing business needs

• Monitor the organisations bank balance to check cash flow is adequate, alerting the partners should action be required

• Produce annual accounts, ensuring these are complete, accurate and contain the relevant information to the agreed deadlines

• Maintain a full and accurate audit trail by filing and referencing documents in a timely manner

Profile

The ideal candidate will be:

• AAT qualified or qualified by experience
• Experienced in assisting with production of monthly management accounts
• Strong Excel skills including the ability to create VLOOKUP's and Pivot Tables
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong internal relationships
• Good team player who can work to strict deadlines

Salary & Benefits

This is a full time role working Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm and an early finish on Friday. This opportunity is earning up to £30,000 pa DOE plus study support and benefits include pension, 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays, life assurance, and private health care.

The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training.
