The Centre NewCo Finance team is responsible for providing direction and leadership across the finance functions, including provision of management and statutory reporting, financial analysis and decision support, and financial control to ensure NewCo maximises its financial performance
The Transformation Finance team is responsible for providing Business Partnering to the Chief Transformation Officer and works closely with the CFO CFS / Advice (as CFO of Subsidiary Boards) to assist with:
- establishing the project cost allocation methodology,
- reporting of actuals and financial control,
- forecasting project spend,
- portfolio reporting required for relevant management and Boards; and
- investment decision making
The team also partners closely with Strategy, Risk and Operations areas.
Do work that matters
You will be responsible for partnering with business and financial stakeholders to support robust and effective decision-making as it relates to various Transformation and other projects, including forecasting, reporting, insightful and actionable analysis, and providing required financial control / cost management / assurance activities.
- Produce accurate and timely project (financial and non-financial) information for project and finance stakeholders to facilitate strategic decision making.
- Manage monthly, half-year and year-end management accounting process with respect to live projects, including financial control activities.
- Ensure Strategic Project spend is controlled, well forecasted and fully understood; and management financial directives and group policies are adhered to.
- Produce and maintain financial models to effectively make product/business profitability assessments including (but not limited to) analysing the impact of product / business changes.
- Recognise commercial issues and escalate where appropriate. Seek opportunities with project stakeholders to define, implement and continuously improve commercial outcomes
- Work on development and updating of business cases for Transformation and other activities and monitoring of progress during project execution and benefits realisation.
- Partner closely with business and finance stakeholders with respect to remediation and regulatory response initiatives and other projects.
- Provide input into the quarterly business planning & forecasting cycle with respect to current and proposed projects & strategic initiatives
- Attend key stakeholder meetings when appropriate.
- Work well in a team environment and contribute to wider team & organisational culture
We’re interested in hearing from people who have
- CA, CFA or equivalent preferable, Relevant Degree in a Finance discipline
- Detailed knowledge of Wealth Management preferable but not essential
- A high level of experience in providing commercial support for large projects
- Well-developed understanding of project management and governance principals
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and senior stakeholders management skills
- Strong commercial acumen, judgment and demonstrated strong performance in a finance/strategy field
- Strong data analytic capability and ability to analyse data to deliver insights using statistical, financial modelling or other methods; Tableau experience highly regarded
