Do you love Retail? This is a fantastic opportunity to join our dynamic finance team giving exposure to various areas of the business. Located within our Leicestershire Head Office.

We are currently looking for a Business Partner to manage our travel and expense operation and to support the business in controlling travel expenditure whilst maintaining a tight control over paid company expenses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analysis and allocation of employee travel related costs – approx. £6.8m p.a.
  • Review and management of Corporate credit card expenditure – approx. 1,400 cards - £12m spend p.a.
  • Monthly production and review of balance sheet reconciliations.
  • VAT reclaims process management and maximisation including audit and review
  • Monthly reporting, forecasting and budgeting
  • Production and maintenance of the Business Travel & Expense policy, ensuring compliance and delivering tailored training when necessary.
  • Manage the production and distribution of exception reporting and MI to senior management and directors in order to control spend and monitor compliance.
  • Corporate Social Responsibility reporting and audit review.
  • A key interface for the business in all travel and expense related matters including issue resolution and queries.
  • Maintaining effective working relationships with 3rd party service providers and assisting in contract negotiation and contract management.
  • Management of 2 indirect reports in Pune

Criteria

  • Qualified Accountant with proven technical, business and accounting skills
  • Strong Management skills / ability to motivate a team
  • Problem solving skills / Logical thought process - Ability to critically assess and resolve key business issues.
  • Effective communication / assertiveness and influencing skills at all levels
  • Effective decision making – ability to make well informed timely decisions
  • Strong planning / organisation skills and ability to work to strict deadlines and under pressure.
  • Strong presentation skills – Confident in leading discussions and promoting business improvements and proactive in meeting with management.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to assimilate large volumes of data.
  • IT literate – confident in challenging systems processes.

All interviews will take place at our Head office in Enderby, Leicestershire. If you are successful you will be invited to attend a first stage interview which will be competency based, lasting approximately 1 hour. Thereafter the final stage will involve a presentation or practical exercise followed by questions.
