Assistant Accountant

Excellent opportunity for Assistant Accountant in a large manufacturer that supplies chemicals in to other manufacturing companies, based in Warrington this is an amazing role for and existing Assistant Accountant or experienced Accounts Assistant who has exposure to monthly management accounts.

My client is a multinational organisation BASED IN Warrington with turnover in excess of £100m and over 3000 employees they are well renowned in their chosen industry for quality and innovation.

They are seeking an equally renowned Assistant Accountant who can provide their insight and knowledge to fulfil a 12 month FTC.

The successful candidate will be rewarded with a varied role and the potential to advance their existing finance skills.

Description

As Assistant Accountant, your main responsibilities are as follows:

• Maintaining the fixed asset register and capex control

• Sales reporting - providing sales information to management and other departments

• Month end reporting, posting journals for sales, debtors, distribution

• Posting accruals and prepayments

• External reporting including completion of VAT returns, intrastat and EC sales, as well as monthly, quarterly and annual statistics submission

• Reviewing internal controls

Profile

The successful applicant must have the following skills and qualifications:

• Experience working in a similar role - knowledge of fixed asset, capex control would be advantageous

• Advanced Excel skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Well organised and work efficiently under pressure and to tight deadlines
