Description

The key responsibilities as an Experienced Bookkeeper joining a Bridgend based Business and Professional services firm will be:

• Play a lead role in assisting clients on the bookkeeping side, up to trial balance, with advise for MTD and help with increasing request for help and need to move over to Xero/Sage/Quickbooks software.
• The role will have a mix of office based work at Bridgend in the main and on client site, with clients within a 20 mile radius of the office.
• You will be undertaking client bookkeeping, journals, reconciliations, VAT returns and providing other services, up to trial balance for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies across very varied industries.
• You will carve a valued position within this close knit team and progress.

Profile

The successful candidate applying for an Experienced Bookkeeper position will have/be:

• Whilst holding an AAT qualification may be a bonus, if supported by a relevant career history and technical skill set, a strong, relevant, experienced background only, is equally of interest, as well.
• Must be experienced and proficient in working with cloud computing programs such as Xero.
• The candidate must also hold a full UK driving license.
• You will have anything from 5+ years, or significantly more practice experience within accountancy, in your career so far, as an accounting technician, assistant accountant, bookkeeper etc.
• Individuals with a background working within the accountancy practice sector, for a firm of any size, preparing management accounts, VAT returns, bookkeeping and other services, for a mixed client base of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, will be of high interest.
• You will ideally be able to demonstrate experience of dealing with outside suppliers, customers and clients and bring the competencies and abilities to deal with clients and indeed enjoy this element, along side the technical hands on delivery of accounting services.

Job Offer

£18,000 - £25,000 plus benefits, dependent on experience and background.
