We are searching for a full-time Quality Assurance Director to lead and develop our QA team. This role will be based in Naperville, IL.

Position Overview

As the Quality Assurance Director, you will be the leader of firmwide quality initiatives and development. You will support the implementation of quality controls and procedures to ensure the firm is compliant with industry quality standards. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Peer Review process from start to finish
  • Develop and expand quality methodologies and procedures
  • Display strong understanding of GAAP, GASB and single audit principles
  • Technical review of client files and complex client issues
  • Lead internal compliance reviews
  • Provide guidance to staff in the field
  • In-depth research of accounting standards, technical issues and special situations
  • Design and teach training courses for QA topics
  • Involvement with state and national accounting board committees
  • Stay up-to-date on industry changes, advancements and pending legislation

Education & Experience

  • BA/BS Degree required; MA/MS preferred
  • CPA designation
  • Strong technical background in GAAP standards and exposure to single audit guidelines
  • 7+ years of audit, assurance and/or quality control experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent project management and leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and to establish processes and guidelines
  • Ability to analyze and learn third party accounting software
  • Strong excel skills
  • Efficient time management practices and ability to prioritize work
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
