Finance Manager - SME Financial Services 6 month's contract
- SME Financial Services Organization,
- Statutory Reporting experience is essential
- Big 4 / Mid-Tier Chartered Accounting experience highly desired.
Role:
In this role you will be responsible for the review/preparation statutory financial reports for financial services companies. We are seeking expressions of interest to join our candidate and contractor talent pool in order to be considered for any future roles
Your main responsible will include:
- Preparation of statutory accounts for a number of entities
- Reviewing of monthly AFSL requirements for licensed entities with the support of an offshore team
- Assisting with the co-ordination and review of six-monthly impairment reviews of intangibles, investments and inventory.
- Completion of monthly and quarterly returns (APRA, RBA, ABS), with the support of an offshore team
- Performing analytical reviews and respond to queries from the external local regulators (APRA, RBA, ABS) on a timely basis
- Assist in drafting board and audit committee papers on accounting and regulatory policy changes
- Proactively identify regulatory change and recommend and advise management/senior management accordingly
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships within the Statutory Reporting team including broader Finance teams
What we look for in you
- CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent)
- Ideally at least 5 years' experience in the financial services industry with specific experience in financial and regulatory reporting
- Advanced Excel skills
- Extensive exposure and experience with IFRS and APRA reporting
- Excellent business partnering experience within the financial services sector.
- Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
- Excellent relationship management and interpersonal abilities
