Stock Analyst

This is a Stock Analyst temporary position, based in Mayfair working for a retail company.

The candidate must be immediately available to start next week.

Client Details

This retail company, based in central London are looking for a stock Analyst to join their team of 10 in central Mayfair.

It is important that this candidate has recent stock experience within accountancy.

Description

The key responsibilities for this Stock Analyst are:

Stock reporting

• Ownership of Group stock reporting and analysis provided to senior management and stakeholders

• Monthly stock and stock accrual reconciliations for all divisions

• Calculate and prepare all stock journals for month end and analysis of the stock balances

• Operational knowledge of stock systems and processes, and running all required finance stock accounting processes in the ERP

Stock takes

• Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of physical stock takes, and responsibility for posting all store stock adjustments

• Manage the relationship with external stock take company, and co-ordinate store managers and Retail Operations for stock take performance

• Management of stock audit inbox and resolution or escalation of issues to Finance Manager

• Concise and timely reporting of stock loss and wages

VAT

• Prepare accurate VAT calculations for all markets

• Ensure timely filing of returns and payment of VAT

• Assist the Finance Manager with any tax queries

And ad-hoc accountancy tasks.

Profile

The successful candidate for this role, will be immediately available and ideally have experience on SUN system. As this role sits within a large team, it would be beneficial if the candidate had experience working for an SME.

It is essential that the candidate must be able to commute into central London.
