Description
Our client is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their Accountancy team in Guildford.
- Initial preparation of the consolidated statutory accounts for the group complying with current accounting standards and legislation. To prepare statutory accounts for all subsidiary companies.
- To produce all balance sheet reconciliation
- To prepare month end journals in accordance with the reporting requirements included the monthly income release for all revenue streams.
- To prepare the quarterly indirect tax returns ready for management review.
- To assist in the co-ordination the annual external statutory audit process for the group.
- To co-ordinate the internal audit process for the group (financial audit projects) where relevant.
- Direct tax - to assist in the preparations of the corporation tax computations by providing analysis of tax relevant accounts for management review for all companies
- To prepare the quarterly corporation tax computations for QIPs under Group Payment Arrangement and arrange payments.
- To complete the financial reporting to Solicitors Regulatory Authority.
- To prepare management accounts / budget
- To promote and sustain a constructive, supportive and friendly working relationship with all customers, external and internal, immediate and senior management and other work colleagues.
- To ensure that any other work required to ensure the good financial management, or to safeguard its financial position, is undertaken.
- To perform other tasks as required by the Accounting Manager & Finance Director.
