Client Accountant

On behalf of a market leader business in Reading I am recruiting for a permanent Client Accountant to join their expanding finance team.

My client has recently moved into incredibly modern offices based just south of Reading and are looking to establish themselves as a true market leader within their field.

Description

The successful applicant for this Client Accountant role will be responsible for the following key duties:

• Manage a client accounting portfolio of residential and mixed use properties
• Produce bespoke reporting formats individually for clients applying a good knowledge of Excel.
• Be familiar with all properties, client accounting reports, service charges and general administration processes for the portfolio
• Ensure the smooth running of the portfolio including the review of funding and database information
• Liaise with the relevant Property Managers on the portfolio, acting on and providing information in a timely manner
• Calculation and compilation of completion statements, rent review calculations and interest rates applicable
• Review of property expenditure regularly and agreeing correctness with Property Manager or Site Manager and action the necessary amendments

Profile

To be considered for this Client Accountant role you must posses the following:

• AAT or equivalent (desirable)
• Familiar with procedures and relevant tax processes (CIS, VAT, NRL)
• Previously worked within a property company, with experience of property accounts and property VAT
• Experience in reconciling service charge accounts, bank accounts and basic double entry accounting
• Ability to work within a team
• Attention to detail
