Management Accountant

Robert Half are currently working with a dynamic business based in Amesbury who are looking for a Management Accountant to join their organisation on a permanent full-time basis.

Role

The main purpose of the role is to be responsible for controlling & reporting results for the UK division of the business. You will be working closely with the Finance Manager to provide analysis of UK performance be ensuring speed accuracy of financial information and improving the costing and reporting of the businesses stock.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring that all accounting transactions (i.e. covering cash book, stock and general ledger sourced transactions) are posted correctly onto the site ERP system
• Ensure that all key reconciliations (e.g. bank account, A/R & A/P control accounts) are performed appropriately and any reconciling items quickly resolved
• Ensure that key weekly data is reported promptly with sufficient supporting narrative to understand results in period
• Ensure that monthly actual performance is reported in a timely fashion with supporting narrative to explain key changes from budget and previous performance
• Take lead responsibility in initial budget and forecast preparation for site
• Build understanding of company key issues and thus begin to have input into actions and programs required to improve company performance
• Build relationships with key company staff and thus be in a position to act as a finance partner and resource to assist these staff
• Undertake periodic fixed asset physical verification exercises to ensure that assets held are correctly recorded and that all assets on the register can be accounted for

The ideal candidate will be:

• Ideally studying ACCA or CIMA
• Analytically minded with strong communication skills
• Experienced in controlling ledger including reconciliations
• Strong Excel skills including the ability to create VLOOKUP's and Pivot Tables

Salary & Benefits

This is a full-time permanent role earning up to £35,000 pa DOE, working Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5.00pm. Benefits include:

The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training.
