Robert Half are excited to be working with a company in Camberley looking for a part-time Finance Manager. This is a great opportunity to work for a small, friendly and well-managed company with a great level of responsibility.

Salary: £40,000 - £48,000 (pro-rata)

This is a part-time standalone role which would suit a self-starter who wants to be hands on with a strong work ethnic.

Role

The successful Finance Manager will be working within a friendly finance team, monitoring the day to day financial operations, performing key financial control and management functions as well as Financial Planning & Analysis.

As the Finance Manager, some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Day to day financial operations such as bookkeeping, invoicing, VAT, EC Sales and other transactions
  • Ensure all orders have correct invoice paperwork in place within our order file system
  • Provide accounting insight and analysis to the team to help optimise the business.
  • Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
  • Provide Cash-flow Management functions
  • Processing, raising and payment of invoices (sales and purchases) and expenses
  • Reconcile transactions in the business on a monthly basis.
  • Be responsible for completion of monthly VAT returns and EC Sales lists.
  • To handle any specific VAT related issues that may arise.
  • Play a lead role in the completion of monthly financial statements
  • Ensure financial data is input into Quickbooks in timely and accurate manner.

Profile

The successful Finance Manager should be:

  • Analytical and highly numerate with relentless attention to detail.
  • Able ability to hit the ground running
  • Management Accounting background is preferable
  • Able to work in a small team environment
  • Excited at having a real opportunity to influence the strategic direction of the business.
  • Effective at managing workload, possessing an ability to prioritise effectively and to meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and knowledge of Quickbooks or other related accounts package.

Company

The current Finance Manager is going into a more strategic role in the business so this will be a standalone role, there will be sufficient training and a full handover for the successful candidate ensuring they can hit the ground running.

The company is small with a friendly, family-run feel to it, dealing with a low volume of invoices with high value requiring an attention to detail.

  • Salary: £40,000 - £48,000
