Your role will include detailed engagement with non-finance stakeholders across the business, identifying areas of profit improvement and reviewing strategic business decisions based on the business units finance reports.

Therefore, it will be essential that you have the ability to provide financial insight and challenge stakeholders, adding value to key business decisions.

Client Details

A London Stock Exchange listed business operating in the Logistics sector. This arm of the business is around 100m turnover although they are part of a wider PLC which boasts a turnover of around 1.2m turnover

Description

The Commercial Analyst responsibility will include analysis and reporting, stakeholder management, forecasting and sales reporting from a Finance perspective. The role will involve strong elements of business partnering and commercial analysis. You will need to understand what is going on in multiple areas of the business unit, whilst developing models based on operational cost drivers to support to forecasting process.

Develop pricing models to support commercial deals and decision making.

Consistently track and forecast business unit performance and monitor risks on a rolling basis.

Have a strong knowledge of key cost drivers that underpin the performance of the business unit. You will need to ensure that the wider organisation understands these and how changers made will impact them.

Profile

The Client has expressed that you MUST be a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).

Previous experience in working in a commercially focused finance role.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to challenge and influence stakeholders.

Self-starter and capable of working independently where required.
