Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Finance Teams are responsible for economic research, analysis of profit–and–loss income statements and preparation of reports on findings to make recommendations to management. They generate forecasts and analyze trends in sales, finance and other areas of business. The Finance Teams also create financial models of "what if" scenarios to help future business planning decisions.

Relationships:

Position reports to Mgr Finance (Cost Accounting & Master Data). Interacts with multiple levels and positions in project management, product management, manufacturing engineering, purchasing, materials, finance, demand management, pricing, purchasing, and engineering.

Measures of Performance:

  • Costing activities for manufactured and purchased items.
  • Assistance with cost rate calculation and annual cost rolls.
  • Analysis of standard costs and actual production costs and resolution of issues.
  • Margin analysis specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability.
  • Comparison of actual costs to estimates and analysis of variances.
  • Standard operational reporting and ad hoc request reporting.
  • Responsibilities & Qualifications:

    Knowledge requirements: Cost Accounting and Financial Analysis

    Skills: strong analytical and problem solving, oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, and management skills
    Language: Ability to speak and read English at a proficient level
    Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or other related field
    Experience: 5+ yrs. Cost Accounting experience for a large manufacturing company. Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of costs. Lean manufacturing experience a plus.
