About the Job??? You will serve as the Telecom Operations Analytics and Reporting Business Analyst in the Grid Services Network & Telecom System Integration Services team. You will be responsible for gathering data requirements from stakeholders, building data models, developing dashboards, analyzing the data, and for implementing and driving process improvements. Analytics and Reporting: Responsible for ongoing performance and operational analysis on IT Incident, Service Request, Problem, Change, Capacity management, and many other proprietary telecom operational data sets. Provide business recommendations to stakeholders based on your findings. Recommend solutions to new and complex problems, develop innovative strategies, and quantify the performance of the organization. Strategic Vision: Performing evaluation on issues that have a major impact on the department, other groups, and the Company such as project performance and delivery affecting multi–year planning, forecasting, and operations. Goals & Continuous Improvement: Establishing relationships with end users to proactively identify process and data challenges and develop business insights to improve operations and performance. Develop predictive data models to forecast device and system failures. Typical Responsibilities??? Defines and develops dashboards/reports and ad hoc queries as requested in a simple and understandable format. Collect, analyze, and report data to support day–to–day operations. Engages internal and external teams to discuss, address, evaluate, support, or advance operational improvement processes. Develops strategies to eliminate gaps in service while improving efficiency and effectiveness. Gathers reporting and analysis requirements which translates into data models. Provides analytical support to various departments within the organization including formulating metrics and Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets. Acts as primary point of contact working with stakeholders to understand systems, processes and business needs. Required Qualifications??? Five (5) or more years of experience developing reporting and performing analytics functions Three (3) or more years of experience developing reporting in Microsoft PowerBI, Tableau, or an equivalent data visualization tool. 5 years of experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio. Desired Qualifications??? Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering, Business, or related technical discipline. Experience with SAS, SQL and/or MS Access Python, and/or R programing language ITIL V3 certification, Six Sigma and\or PMP certification. Experience with a Service Delivery tool such as: BMC Remedy, Service Now, HP Service Manager, SAP, etc.. Experience interfacing effectively and collaborating with internal employees, third party entities, and all levels of management to develop solutions and ensure stakeholder alignment. Five (5) or more years of experiencing consulting with clients, including independently identifying client needs, developing action plans, identifying deliverables, and presenting results.
