AWS Infrastructure Finance provides end–to–end financial support driving AWS to be the low cost provider in Cloud computing and leader in customer experience. This includes supporting business owners in building, operating and innovating our Cloud data centers. We support operations, business development, and engineering. You should be passionate about producing financial analysis enabling management to make breakthrough decisions, drive cash flow, and ultimately delight our customers.

The FP&A team is looking for a world class Senior Financial Analyst to support AWS Infrastructure planning and analysis efforts. This position will work closely with finance management as well as key business partners across the AWS organization, and will help develop models and processes.

Key responsibilities will include:
?? Participate in planning and forecasting cycles
?? Driving variance analyses, metric reporting processes, and deep dives into the drivers of our business
?? Becoming the subject matter expert on and owning the delivery of the weekly reports for senior leadership within AWS
?? Interacting with stakeholders across multiple AWS business teams and leading teams to align and agree on planning and deliverables
?? Perform ad hoc financial analysis
?? Providing analytical support to the team and creating meaningful reports to drive process improvement or business insights

This role requires a self–starter with a strong financial modeling background, problem solving skills, a keen attention to detail, ability to work in a fast–paced environment with ambiguous situations, and solid skills in people management and thought leadership. This role requires strong people skills and has regular interaction with various AWS business groups.

• BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science) or equivalent and a minimum 5 years of experience in finance or a related analytical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Financial modeling, P&L management and/or analysis experience.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with business teams and senior leadership
• An ability to work independently and self–motivate in a fast–paced, ambiguous, and rapidly–changing environment
• A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations
• Strong financial modeling skills, including knowledge of TM1 and SQL
• Experience in a technology company or high–tech environment
• Proven problem–solving skills, project management skills
