We have a tremendous need for a Director of Finance to fast track to the Chief Financial Officer role. This person will be responsible for the planning, directing and coordinating of all accounting operational functions. Must be well–versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from simple accounting to broad investment and banking operations. You will be working closely with the Management Committee.
Responsibilities Oversee all daily operations of the Finance Team in conjunction with CFO Coordinating and evaluating Risk Management Providing management with information vital to the decision–making process Assisting with the budgeting and partner compensation processes Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementation of new processes on an ongoing basis Manage team of Credit Controllers responsible for collections Developing and monitoring business performance metrics Work with internal Tax team to prepare the firm's tax return Assist with hiring, training and retaining competent accounting staff Supervising Payroll Manager
Qualifications The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years experience in a high–level accounting function Should hold a bachelor's degree in accounting. A master's degree in business administration or CPA designation considered a plus Previous experience in a professional services organization is highly valued Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite Experience with Sage/ Intacct and bill.com will be beneficial Candidates must possess solid communication, technology, analytical, and management skills Strong leadership and organizational skills Excellent communication and people skills Ability to strategize and problem solve
HOURS OF OPERATION: Our office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Our summer hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. to noon on Friday. The ability to work additional hours during busy season is critical, but the rest of the year, flexibility is key.
