Internal Financial Analyst

United Way of Central New York is seeking an experienced Accountant to work as part of the Finance Department. The Internal Financial Analyst will: Audit/analyze/verify campaign results in all appropriate software systems. Participate in Community Impact as it relates to allocation of funds. Support allocation of resources to Program Initiatives. Perform G/L account reconciliations, responsible for financial accuracy/validity of A/R, Liability and Revenue balances for grant billings. Oversee grant contracts to ensure compliance with grant and funder regulations, review grant contracts and oversee grant administration process and reporting, ensure MWBE requirements are met. Update and maintain agency policies. Support timely monthly financial close procedures including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, accruals and overall maintenance of operational accounts. Prepare Financial Reports and research variances as needed for the Chief Financial Officer. Provide support/work directly with all subcontractors, verify/audit vouchers against budgets. Prepare/assist with Budget Modifications as needed. Coordinate supply ordering and assist with other office operational needs. Assist with Bi–Weekly Payroll processing. Assist division staff with work overflow as needed and appropriate. Qualified applicants will possess a Bachelor's degree, experience in Non–Profit accounting and Grants Management is preferred.
