My client, a market leading specialist and internationally recognised services business, is currently looking to recruit an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant to join their head office Finance function in Warrington. The successful candidate will provide support to the regional Management Accountant, while also supporting the Commercial Controller in completion of month end deliverables whilst studying for their professional accounting qualification.

Responsibilities
- Ownership of specific reporting and month end tasks
- Analysis of all balance sheet accounts
- Margin analysis to ensure sales & cost of sales are correctly recorded
- Working closely with Management Accountant to prepare month end financial information and analysis
- Support region in budgeting, forecasting and cashflow
- Support Regional Commercial Controller
- Support in country local teams, building good relationships with key contacts
- Working closely with in country accountants, where applicable, to submit local statutory requirements eg VAT return
- Involvement in implementing improvements to financial procedures and controls
- Adhoc project work as required and to support development
Key Attributes & Experience
- 2-3 years accounting experience (essential)
- Ability to embrace and spread enthusiasm, goodwill, happiness and positivity
- Strong excel skills, with an ability use advanced excel formulas and create basic financial models and reports
- Good, confident oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrates a structured approach to analytical problem solving
Desirable
- Actively progressing through ACCA/CIMA qualification
- Accounting Software
- Understanding of the commercial drivers of a business
