Reed Accountancy Oxfordshire are pleased to be working with a fantastic electronics company based in Abingdon, to help recruit an Assistant Management Accountant. This is a newly created role in the Accounts team and is ideally suited for someone who is keen to progress toward Management Accountancy and that can adapt to the role and learn pretty quickly. The role offers a salary of up to £28,000 p/a and study support. The role offers 20 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) in the first year (increasing by one day annually to 25 days). The working hours are 8.45am to 17.30pm Monday to Thursday, 8.45am to 16.15pm Friday with an hour for lunch.

Daily duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts and completion of Group monthly reporting pack
• Assisting with completion of group budget and forecasting forms
• Assisting with analysis of customer and product profitability as required
• Preparing VAT, Intrastat and EC Sales lists in a timely manner
• Assisting in the preparation of statutory accounts
• Completion of the yearend tax pack
• Assist with the preparation of quarterly licensing reports
• Providing cover for sales and purchase ledger functions as required
• Customer account reconciliations
• Inter company reconciliations
• Maintaining customer terms and price lists on Oracle
• Accruals and prepayments

The ideal candidate will have experience in a busy accounts team and come from an Accounting background. You will be proficient in Excel and have some Accounting Software systems. The ideal candidate would be able to work in a team and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
