Assistant Management Accountant

Commercial Management Accountant position located in Cheddar, working for an FMCG business. If you come from an FMCG background or similar where pricing / cost analysis is apart of your role; this position would suit you.

Ideally CIMA/ ACCA part qualified, A strong commercial presence and confidence is key. Identifying where to improve efficiency's and creating a strategy for this.

Salary is £31,000 - £40,000 DPO.

Description

Key responsibilites of the Management Accountant:

• Responsible for producing Monthly Management accounts for the Group of companies
• Producing explanations of the main variances from budget
• Responsible for the various finance controls in the management accounts
• Control of cashflow forecasts
• Preparation of forecasts and monthly reports
• Will be involved with the set of the new NetSuite Finance system
• Responsible for controlling some commercial elements of product costings including;

- Full end to end product costings to ensure the appropriate margins/profitability is achieved taking in to account design costs and allowance for waste.

-Monitoring and managing product & category profitability and recommending courses of action.

• Creating executive reports and recommendations for corrective action
• Management of one/two reports after probationary period

Profile

The successful candidate:

• Preparation of Management accounts

• Product costings

• Use of computerised accounting system

• Proficient skills in excel essential

Key Skills:

• Part or Fully qualified Accountant

• Mathematically competent

• Strong verbal & written skills

• Ability to work on own initiative and to set deadlines

• Ability to act quickly and think laterally at different solutions to challenges

• Great communication skills
