Client Details

A global market leader in a complex but exciting industry, this business based in Chester is recruiting for a Finance Analyst to join an established accountancy function. This company has operations across over 10 countries and works with some of the world's top blue chip companies.

Description

Reporting to the UK Finance Director, the role is to maintain and improve current financial and operational reporting processes, responsible for annual budget preparation and commercial analysis. Day to day activities will include:

  • Responsible for producing and presentation of the budgets to the board of directors
  • Investigation and analysis of variances with commentaries
  • Analysing month end costs breakdown by department, product and category
  • Produce and analyse flash reports to be distributed across the business
  • Provision of financial data and analysis to operational management
  • Support tendering process for any new contracts and other business prospects
  • Maintenance and control of all inter-company price lists

Profile

The successful applicant for this Finance Analyst role will be:

  • CIMA / ACCA studier
  • Strong academic background ideally with a recognised business / accountancy degree
  • Experience working in a PLC or international business is desirable
  • Communication skills with demonstrable experience working across non-finance functions and building relationships with key stakeholders in a business is essential
  • An ambitious and progressive individual, with desires to move up the ladder as the opportunities will be available at this company
  • Advanced Excel skills are essential - ideally macro level
